Starship Flight 4 Preparations Underway
Fourth Integrated Flight Test Scheduled for Launch
SpaceX's Starship Program Advances with Anticipated Test Flight
SpaceX's highly anticipated Starship integrated flight test 4 (IFT-4) is in the final stages of preparation and is scheduled for launch at 8 am EDT (1200 GMT) on a yet-to-be-determined date.
This fourth flight test is a crucial milestone in the development of SpaceX's Starship, a fully reusable launch vehicle and spacecraft system. The test aims to bring Starship to operational readiness and advance its progress toward its eventual goal of enabling human travel to Mars.
Both the Starship and its Super Heavy booster have undergone successful static test firing campaigns and are now in the final stages of preparation for launch. Starship is contracted to be the designated landing system for the Artemis III mission, scheduled for September 2026, which aims to return humans to the Moon.
