Texas Longhorns Football Schedule 2024

Preseason

The Texas Longhorns have released their 2024 football schedule, which features a challenging slate of opponents both in and out of conference play. The Longhorns will open their season on Aug. 31 at home against the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns. They will then travel to face the Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa on Sept. 7. The Longhorns will return home to host the UTEP Miners on Sept. 14 before traveling to face the Oklahoma Sooners in the Red River Rivalry on Sept. 21.

Regular Season

The Longhorns will open their Big 12 Conference schedule on Sept. 28 at home against the Kansas Jayhawks. They will then travel to face the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Oct. 5 and the Kansas State Wildcats on Oct. 12. The Longhorns will return home to host the Iowa State Cyclones on Oct. 19 before traveling to face the TCU Horned Frogs on Oct. 26. The Longhorns will close out their regular season at home against the Baylor Bears on Nov. 23.

Postseason

The Longhorns are expected to contend for a berth in the Big 12 Championship Game, which will be played on Dec. 7 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. If the Longhorns win the Big 12 Championship Game, they will earn a berth in the College Football Playoff. The College Football Playoff semifinals will be played on Dec. 28 and 29, and the College Football Playoff National Championship Game will be played on Jan. 13, 2025.
